Playing host when guests come to stay doesn’t have to be stressful and can even be a bit fun! We love a great guestroom and though having a restful Comphy bed is the obvious first step, here are some simple ideas you can use to boost your guestroom game!
MAKE A RESTFUL SPACE
Creating a home away from home starts with the bed. After you have the perfect bed sheets, step up the rest of the bed with some decorative pillows, & blankets. Guests need to feel they have a space that’s all their own so they can get a little peace and quiet while they’re visiting.
THE BASICS
A stack of freshly laundered opulent towels can be placed right on the bed so guests know where to find their linens. If you’re fortunate enough to have a separate guest bathroom, simply place fresh towels there, including a bath towel and wash cloth for each guest, hand towel, and bathmat.
A spa robe is a nice added touch to make guests feel comfortable, especially if the bathroom is down the hall. Small luxury shampoos & conditioners are important basics too and you could even throw in a tube of toothpaste, ibuprofen, Q-Tips, or other toiletries they may have forgotten.
COZY THINGS UP
Even with a small room, you can put in a little chair and lamp to make a restful place for reading, working, or simply sitting with a cup of coffee. This is a perfect place for a throw and a little basket of magazines too.
EXTRA TOUCHES
A little bit of pampering goes a long way. Placing a small basket of snacks & treats can be a great way to make your guests feel spoiled and well cared for. Suggestions: granola bars, gum, chocolates, water bottles, or anything you know they love.
If the size of your room allows, a small coffee pot or electric tea kettle can be an extra special gesture, especially for early risers.
Fresh cut flowers are always a nice touch and can brighten any room.
ODDS & ENDS
A quick search on Pinterest will show you some cute signs you can make that display the WIFI network name & password. And adding a charging station to the nightstand will make it easy for guests to find a plug in at night.
Scent is a powerful thing, so offering an essential oil diffuser or items from our Sleep Kit can help guests feel cozy and relaxed.
A place to stash luggage is helpful, but if the room is small a luggage rack can do the trick!
We hope this has inspired you to spruce up your guest bedroom! These ideas are a sure way to make your guests feel at home, and possibly never leave, so use at your own risk!
