As things settle back into our new normal, there will be more backyard BBQ’s and parties this 4th of July. It’s so much fun to see all the summer décor and food ideas people come up with so we thought we’d share a few here for inspiration. Whether you’re getting together with family or friends, these ideas won’t disappoint!
4th of July Food
Start the day off right! How about a 4th of July breakfast? Try a giant stack of pancakes or waffles, alternating with layers of whipped cream, blueberries, strawberries, & raspberries. Yum!
Bring on the sweets! A simple sheet cake with white frosting, blueberries, and raspberries will impress a crowd. We’ve all seen them before, but they never get old! Alternate layers with red, white, and blue for a surprise filling. Cupcakes are a simple way to go with the same berries added for color.
Snacks for hot weather! Kids will love these healthier popsicles, made with Greek yogurt, fruit, and food coloring for the fun red, white, and blue festive look. You can also simply use white yogurt with red & blue berries. All you need is a popsicle mold and a little bit of time to freeze in advance.
4th of July Décor
Décor is often best left simple. We love a tidy row of flags lining a front walk, or a few banners on the front porch. And if you try any of the food suggestions above, they’ll stand in as décor, too!
From our Comphy family to yours, we hope you have a fantastic 4th of July!
